      Job Title: CNC Machinist/Programmer


      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer who is proficient in Mastercam, with experience in the setup and operation of mill and lathe CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read blueprints, follow instructions, and work within very small tolerances. Responsibilities include completing routine machine maintenance and working in a fast-paced environment to meet daily production quotas. This role has the potential for growth, with the opportunity to manage the shop in the future.

      Responsibilities

      • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
      • Perform basic programming using Mastercam.
      • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precision in manufacturing.
      • Work within very small tolerances to maintain product quality.
      • Complete routine maintenance on CNC machines.
      • Meet daily production quotas in a fast-paced environment.
      • Report to the General Manager with shop management potential.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency in CNC machining and programming.
      • Experience with Mastercam programming.
      • Ability to set up and operate mills and/or lathes.
      • Skilled in reading blueprints and schematics.
      • Experience working within small tolerances.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience in routine machine maintenance.
      • Knowledge of CNC setup processes.

      Work Environment

      Work in a medium-sized industrial machine shop with CNC machines located on the east side, laser/presses in the middle, and grinding machines on the west side. The shop is tightly organized with newer CNC machines. Shifts are Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm and Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm. The dress code includes work clothes such as jeans, t-shirts, closed-toed shoes, and face masks.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, Idaho.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
