      Job Title: Machinist


      Job Description

      NOW HIRING - CNC Machinists. As a CNC Machinist, you will specialize in milling, turning, grinding, and more. You will work with materials such as Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel, and others. Our facility houses over 100 CNC machines, including Okuma, DMG, OKK, Toshiba, and more.

      Responsibilities

      • Operate CNC production equipment to produce quality parts
      • Complete all departmental paperwork in detail
      • Perform part setup, run cycles, and inspect parts
      • Interpret drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements (GD&T)
      • Analyze numerical control programs and perform minimal changes
      • Interpret documents and select proper work holdings and tooling
      • Perform routine inspection on in-process parts using inspection equipment
      • Use calipers, dial bore gauges, indicators, micrometers, height and radius gauges, go/no-go gauges, refractometer, comparator as required
      • Apply basic math skills
      • Run multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously
      • Meet production and quality standards with zero tolerance for scrap and rework
      • Perform preventative and regular maintenance on machines, equipment, and tools
      • Troubleshoot machine problems during processes
      • Understand machining speeds and feeds
      • Work with lathes, mills, and grinders
      • Work under minimal supervision

      Essential Skills

      • 3+ years of CNC mill/lathe experience
      • Blueprint reading
      • Basic inspection experience
      • Shop math

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with Fanuc control
      • Knowledge of G&M codes
      • Troubleshooting skills
      • Understanding of tolerances
      • Ability to set up machines
      • Experience with Siemens control, Okuma, Toshiba

      Work Environment

      1st Shift (Monday - Friday) 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday) 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM. Flexible hours with mandatory overtime on Saturdays. Traditional machine shop and assembly operation with over 100 CNC machines. The facility is climate-controlled, bright, and moderately organized.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
