      Job Description:

      • Operate and set up multiple CNC machines for milling, boring, facing, drilling, and other machining operations.
      • Work with a variety of castings and parts, following technical drawings, blueprints, and machine capabilities.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical data for tooling, setup, and machining operations.
      • Program machines or retrieve pre-programmed routines.
      • Position and secure parts using various holding devices (e.g., fixtures, shims).
      • Set machine controls to avoid errors and ensure accurate operation.
      • Set up and operate programmable fourth axis for workpiece positioning.
      • Monitor machine performance and detect malfunctions or errors.
      • Perform first-piece and ongoing inspections for quality assurance.
      • Adjust machine settings manually to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.
      • Collaborate with supervisors or programmers to resolve technical issues.
      • Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to safety standards.
      • Report defective materials or equipment issues to the supervisor.
      • Mount and align tooling, attachments, and workpieces.
      • Use precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to measure finished parts.
      • Assist and mentor less experienced machinists and assemblers with complex tasks.
      • Manage machining tasks to meet production deadlines.
      • Suggest improvements for processes and procedures.
      • Operate multiple CNC machines efficiently.
      • Adhere to company attendance and work hour policies.
      • Support company affirmative action and equal opportunity efforts.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Education: Knowledge of CNC operations, programming, and material properties, typically equivalent to a four-year degree in a related field.
      • Experience: 7-10 years of machine shop operations experience.
