- Collaborate with Planning, Quality, and Production teams to meet production goals.
- Setup and operate CNC machines from engineering drawings or customer-supplied .step files.
- Accurately interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions and programming errors.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in efficiency and quality.
- 10+ years combined experience in machining for a machine shop.
- Proficiency in selecting proper cutters, considering speeds, feeds, and control system limitations.
- Experience with 3-axis verticals and 4-axis horizontals, with 5-axis experience needed for new machines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FANUC, OKUMA, and KITAMURA controls.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
- Experience in the Aerospace/Defense industry and adherence to industry specifications.
- Expertise in blueprint interpretation and creation.
- Experience working with various types of metals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and provide identification to meet I-9 and E-Verify requirements.
- Experience with mastercam programming.
- 5-axis machining experience is a plus.
- Experience using vericut and calipers.

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist for a day shift position at a machine shop in Santa Ana, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC setup and operation, as well as manual machining expertise and quality control. A strong understanding of machining processes is essential to ensure efficient and accurate production.

Work Environment
Work in a mid-sized machine shop with around 45 staff members, including a machining team of approximately 25 and 4-5 programmers. The facility includes a deburr department, quality control, and shipping areas. The position operates on a day shift from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Ana, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
