- Install tooling on CNC equipment to machine parts to exact tolerances.
- Follow program instructions and diagrams for setup.
- Select and load appropriate part programs for machine runs.
- Maintain accurate and timely transactions in the ERP system.
- Adjust equipment and programs as needed.
- Load and unload parts from the machine, monitoring operations for proper machine functioning.
- Check parts periodically during operations to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Assist in maintaining and servicing equipment as directed.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Train other employees and assist in other departments as required.
- Identify and solve quality problems, implement solutions, and control processing to prevent issues.
- Protect the environment by preventing pollution and identifying areas for improvement.
- 1-3 years of related experience as a CNC machinist.
- Ability to work on repetitive tasks.
- Ability to follow blueprints and tooling sheets.
- Make minor program adjustments.
- Experience with HAAS, DOOSAN, FANUC controls, and HATACHI.
- Experience with CNC machine, CNC lathe, milling machine, and manual lathe.
- Milling or turning experience.
- Open to occasional overtime.
- Forklift experience (training available if needed).
- Gear cutting experience.
Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to install tooling on numerically controlled equipment, machining parts to precise tolerances. The role involves following program instructions and diagrams for setting fixtures, selecting and loading part programs, and maintaining accurate ERP system transactions. You will be responsible for making equipment and program adjustments, loading and unloading parts, and verifying part specifications using precision measuring devices. The position requires blueprint reading and interpretation, maintaining equipment, and training other employees as needed.
Work Environment
Our 80,000 Sqft shop is clean and divided into machine and assembly areas, with three paint booths and an enclosed welding shop. The environment is bright and environmentally conscious, featuring a lunchroom and training room. You will work directly with a lead, supervisor, and a team of 12-30 machinists, offering ample support. The work schedule is flexible, with a preferred afternoon shift from Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 12am, including paid lunch and coffee breaks.
