      Dixon Valve is looking for an entry-level CNC Operator Trainee - 2nd Shift to join its manufacturing team in Chestertown, MD. No previous CNC operator or machine operator experience is required. Dixon will train you! This is a great opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude or operational bent to join a global manufacturer committed to employee training and development where qualified machinists can participate in our state-certified Apprenticeship program! Dixon is recognized as the premier manufacturer and supplier of hose fittings and accessories spanning a wide range of industrial uses. Shift hours are 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

      Responsibilities:

      • Operates CNC lathes
      • Inspection of parts
      • Primary focus is on production, product quality and accuracy


      Competencies:

      • Ability to read blue prints and mechanical drawings
      • Ability to read measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
      • Ability to use basic shop mathematics specifically addition and subtraction
      • Ability to stand for long periods of time
      • Ability to lift and manuever 50 lbs. consistently over the course of a shift
      • Ability to work in a fast paced operation/manufacturing environment
