Our team is looking to hire a skilled CNC Programmer Machinist!
Responsibilities
Programs CNC mill and may occasionally set-up and run CNC mill.
Enters part run times and program numbers into VISUAL MANUFACTURING.
With guidance from the Production Control Manager, schedules workload as required to meet customer due dates.
Works directly with estimators to establish machining costs.
Programs, sets up, and runs all machine shop equipment.
Designs and builds fixtures for machining or part production / inspection.
Pre program existing programs if necessary to allow machine to run at maximum efficiency.
Program speeds and feeds to allow machine to run at maximum efficiency.
Develops most cost effective methods for part fabrication.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
8 years minimum machining experience (at least 4 years specifically CNC Programmer).
Requires ability to read and write English.
Requires ability to perform arithmetic problems.
Knowledge / Skills
Display expertise with one or more CAD based design programs such as Mastercam, Geopath, CamWorks and Solidworks.
Setup, run, and inspect multi axis jobs on both Vertical and Horizontal machining centers, including 3D surfacing, plus a minimum of 2 axis lathe setup and run OR program, setup, run and trouble shoot multi axis, twin spindle mill-turn centers.
Diagnose and trouble-shoot virtually any machining defect.
Complete expert command of at least one of the following CNC controls: Fanuc, Mazak, Haas.
Extensive experience with, and knowledge of, multiple material types including Aluminum, Mild steel, Tool steel, Stainless steel, and plastics.
Create G-code programs from scratch on machine controller, for basic parts and fixtures.About the company
