      AES’s US Transmission and Distribution (T&D) businesses in Ohio is seeking a Reliability and Performance Engineering Intern to develop long-term maintenance and improved reliability plans . Assigned projects will include primarily root cause analysis on major equipment, data validation and cleanup, KPI statistical analysis, maintenance plans , and circuit rebuild plans .

      As an intern supporting T&D Asset Management you will:

      • Improves overall data relevance and implements processes to improve data quality and collection.

      • Leads the development of asset performance improvement strategies

      • Provides continuous assessment of asset performance by monitoring the asset register and related records

      • Lead and participate in root cause analyses (RCAs) for significant T&D equipment failures.

      • Supports development and updates to Asset Strategies for critical asset classes

      • Ensures accurate monitoring and reporting of T&D asset performance and metrics

      • Lead monitoring T&D operational performance against KPI targets based on industry standards and statistical analysis

      • Lead effort to develop any additional monitoring standards for T&D assets

      • Lead the development of processes, tools and strategy necessary to capture, analyze, monitor, trend, and report asset condition indicators

      • Participates in reliability strategy initiatives and improvement projects both internally and externally

      • Audit inspection and maintenance programs for compliance
