The Photographer/Editor co-op will be responsible for producing digital product images as well as editing, and releasing them to be used for various print and online applications. This position requires the ability to work in an independent, fast-paced environment. The desired candidate will be a proactive self-starter; productive with minimal direction; and is familiar with various photographic equipment and proficient with Adobe Photoshop and related software editing programs.
Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinates photography assignments and captures high quality images
• Serves as a principle source of information on photographic equipment and techniques
• Maintains quality control throughout production of assigned photography projects
• Understands software applications and operation guides (Ortery TruView: training will be provided)
• Participates in strategic and creative concept development to achieve optimum photos
• Maintains photographic archives and documents related images for future searches
• Edits high resolution photographic images using Adobe Photoshop to create high quality images for use in print and online catalogs
• Maintains the substance and accuracy of the product images and make necessary changes, deletions or additions as needed.
• Understands Meritor products and develop understanding of proper angles, shading and characteristics to provide a strong visual impression of the products.
• Interacts with product managers and team members to understand the photographic workflow and be able to assist in all aspects as needed.
• Uploads final images to the image portal while verifying they are correctly cataloged and identified. Verify the images on the e-commerce website.
• Creates entries and assist with management of the electronic parts database and e-commerce system.
• Assists in direction of photography for product promotional pieces and assist with ongoing photography needs.
• Assists the marketing team with projects such as catalog covers, promotional material, and related efforts.
• Assists Business Teams with promotional literature and other literature as required.!*!
• Knowledge of photographic technology, equipment and techniques with the ability to produce high quality commercial and product photography
• Working knowledge of photo editing software (Adobe) and ability to work on projects from day one.
• Understanding of digital imaging requirements and processes to edit them for both high resolution and web quality presentation.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with cross functional teams

• Demonstrate a high level of independence and self-motivation; take initiative and show resourcefulness to maintain flexibility for projects
• Thinks analytically, resolves problems, make decisions, and collaborates within a team
• Studio environment; frequent handling of parts up to 35 lbs. and some standing for long periods of time; must adhere to company safety standards and warehouse rules
• Current student in an accredited Associates, Bachelors or Masters degree program.
• Studies in the field of photography and related software applications
