      Overview:

      The Hootsuite social team is looking for a social media intern who will support our dynamic team in executing our social, influencer, and employee advocacy strategies to grow brand awareness, convert demand, and foster brand loyalty. This role offers the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of social media marketing including strategy development, content creation, working with influencer and employee advocates, reporting, and understanding insights that measure real business value. This intern will work closely with the entire team and report to the Senior Manager, Social Marketing, contributing to real projects and campaigns that impact our business.

      WHAT YOU’LL DO:

      • Assist in the execution of Hootsuite’s social, influencer, and employee advocacy strategies
      • Support the creation and scheduling of compelling content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
      • Support in the content creation for Amplify, Hootsuite’s own internal employee advocacy tool.
      • Monitor social media for trending news, ideas, and feedback, reporting insights to the wider team and manager.
      • Participate in the social content planning process, ensuring consistent messaging and aligning to our mapped business goals.
      • Assist with the tracking and analysis of social media performance metrics to gauge success and areas for improvement.
      • Collaborate with team members to support our influencer marketing strategy including helping build pitch decks, and arrange promotional swag.
      • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media and digital marketing.

      WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

      • Working towards a degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Communications etc.).
      • Strong interest in social media and digital marketing.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Creative thinker with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
      • Proficiency in social media platforms and tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
      • Basic understanding of marketing strategies and how to utilize these concepts throughout various forms of social media.
      • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
      • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

      Canada Pay Range For This Role
      $46,100 $55,400 CAD
