      Machine Operator - Coater Operator (Night Shift)

      Location: Strongsville, OH
      Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM
      Pay Rate: $21.00/hour

      Job Overview

      Join a leading manufacturer and distributor of aluminum, copper, and stainless steel foils and thin gauge metals. As a Coater Operator, you'll play an essential role in the production process-running high-end machinery that applies inks and coatings to metal coils used across industries like aerospace, food packaging, HVAC, and automotive.

      This is a contract-to-hire position with a long-term growth path. You'll be part of a busy, safety-oriented shop where your attention to detail and mechanical interest can really shine.

      Job Responsibilities
      • Operate coating machines to apply inks and coatings to rolled metal substrates.
      • Use a 2-ton hoist to load and unload coil materials.
      • Assist in machine setup and learn how to perform adjustments over time.
      • Monitor machines visually to ensure proper flow-report irregularities to a lead.
      • Perform basic quality checks and verify production order specifications.
      • Maintain accurate logs and documentation.
      • Keep machinery and work area clean and organized.
      • Support team by jumping into other shop areas as needed.

      Required Qualifications
      • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
      • Ability to read and understand English (verbal and written).
      • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
      • Able to stand and move for the entire shift in varying temperatures.
      • Willingness to work independently and not be micromanaged.
      • Must be dependable with strong attendance.
      • Comfortable handling odors and shop smells.
      • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely using hoists and other tools.

      • Jeans, t-shirt, and steel toe boots required.
      • Once hired in, optional uniforms provided-shorts allowed.
      • Earbud use is permitted (one ear only).
