Job Description
- Req#: 21630
- Cleaning / sandblasting of coating system parts and tooling
- Maintenance of ancillary equipment – sandblaster, central vacuum system, humidity test chamber
- Organization of tooling on shelves and in cabinets
- Basic preparation, setup and loading of coating system chambers
- Maintain stock of lab supplies in coating room
- Clerical duties involved with the movement of product through production
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to manually handle delicate optic parts thus ensuring quality and integrity of product
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to work and communicate well with others
- Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Good verbal and written command of the English language
- Post secondary diploma in Photonics or Physical Sciences
- Work experience in a lab environment would be a definite asset

About the Role
Operate various thin film coating chambers and measuring equipment. Perform final preparation, loading & inspection of complicated optical elements.
