      Responsibilities:
      - Code and abstract clinical and demographic data using standardized coding regulations and guidelines
      - Identify and resolve clinical documentation and charge capture discrepancies to improve quality
      - Educate team members on changing rules and regulations for compliant claims
      - Meet departmental quality and efficiency standards
      - Deliver care and service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences

      Qualifications:
      - Certificate program in coding, associate degree in HIM, or equivalent coding experience
      - At least one year of coding experience
      - Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification
      - Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT coding regulations and guidelines
      - Proficiency with electronic health record systems

      Preferred Qualifications:
      - Associate or bachelor's degree in HIM
      - Two years of coding experience
      - Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or additional coding credential

      Additional Information:
      - Basic knowledge of Windows-based computer software and office equipment
