      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide second-level review of billing performances to ensure compliance with legal and procedural policies
      - Audit medical record documentation to identify under-coded and over-coded services, preparing reports of findings for provider education
      - Interact with physicians and patient care providers regarding billing and documentation policies, obtaining clarification on ambiguous documentation
      - Collaborate with Revenue Specialists and practice billing specialists to ensure effective follow-up on patient accounts
      - Analyze individual payor performances and respond to inquiries regarding compliance and coding issues

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
      - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a biller, collector, coder, or back office support staff in the medical industry
      - Advanced knowledge of medical coding and billing systems and regulatory requirements
      - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
      - Ability to analyze and solve problems, with independent judgment in managing confidential information

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - OB/GYN experience is preferred but not required
      - Associate's degree from an accredited university is preferred
      - Knowledge of auditing concepts and principles
      - Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and policy compliance issues related to medical coding
      - Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed
