      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

      - Conduct medical record reviews to assess compliance with laws and regulations
      - Evaluate coding compliance and clinical documentation
      - Prepare written reports summarizing audit work and recommendations
      - Educate internal customers on compliant documentation and coding issues
      - Assist with planning and developing auditing procedures and systems

      What is Required (Qualifications):

      - Minimum 5 years of experience in ICD-10 coding, with a strong understanding of Medicare's Inpatient DRG and other PPS methodologies
      - Inpatient coding experience
      - Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management
      - Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent certification (or obtain within a year)

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

      - Knowledge of chart review processes and Coding Clinic guidance
      - Familiarity with Federal Regulatory resources
      - Clinical knowledge and understanding of disease processes
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      - Proficiency in MS Office software and computer systems
