      About the Role:
      We are seeking a Coding Manager to oversee the clinic and hospital coding practices and ensure accurate documentation of medical information related to reimbursement, compliance, and quality assurance. This role works closely with Practice Administrators, Business Office staff, Hospital Partners, billing managers, and medical professionals to promote consistent and compliant coding practices. The manager will provide ongoing training and support for all coding personnel, ensuring alignment with industry standards and internal policies.

      How You’ll Drive Our Mission Forward:

      • Supervise and support inpatient and outpatient coding reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.

      • Assist Practice Administrators in distributing coding resources across clinics to meet deadlines.

      • Provide ongoing coding support to hospital partners to maintain consistency.

      • Perform quality reviews and audits to validate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS code assignments, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

      • Train and coach coding staff in risk-adjusted coding practices to strengthen documentation.

      • Help identify appropriate indications for services in coordination with billing and coding teams.

      • Maintain and update coding policies and procedures for consistency and compliance.

      • Act as a resource for Medicare guidelines, assisting with documentation reviews and claim resolutions.

      • Lead and support internal coding audit programs, communicate findings, and provide education based on audit results.

      • Review and analyze documentation, billing, and compliance data to identify improvement opportunities.

      • Educate staff and providers on documentation requirements, billing practices, and compliance rules.

      • Present quarterly coding education sessions and contribute to coder development.

      • Monitor and ensure coding productivity aligns with MedAxiom benchmarks.

      • Review Medicare quality and cost data annually to identify areas of opportunity.

      • Collaborate with the CIS Compliance team to resolve any coding or compliance issues promptly.

      What Makes You a Great Match:

      • Bachelor’s degree preferred

      • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred

      • Strong communication and organizational skills

      • Experience with Medicare reimbursement, audits, and compliance

      • Willingness to travel to all CIS locations as needed

      • Staff education and training experience preferred

      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

      • Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to compliance and quality improvement
