What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct clinical quality audits/overreads for the Quality Department
- Identify and report issues related to clinical audits for quality improvement
- Collect data through chart extraction for the Healthcare Effectiveness and Data Information Set (HEDIS) program
- Perform audits of outpatient medical records, hospital records, clinical lab, and pharmacy records
- Maintain confidentiality of all collected records and communicate collaboratively with staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Technical certification/licensure in Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse upon hire
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of medical record audit experience, including electronic medical records (EMR)
- At least 2 years of HEDIS, quality management, or utilization review auditing experience
- 1 year of experience in the medical field as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field, or Health Information Management degree
- Experience with health plans, project management, data analysis, or case review
