What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform coding quality assessments in accordance with departmental procedures
- Resolve TES/IDX/EPIC Edit Resolution and Coding inquiries
- Serve as a subject matter expert on coding and assist in training and ongoing education of coders
- Perform other coding functions as appropriate
- Maintain tracking logs and stay up-to-date with federal, state, and departmental coding guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have one of the following certifications: RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database maintenance
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Four years of experience in HIM multi-specialty coding
- EPIC and Cerner EMR experience
