      **What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):**
      - Assign or verify CPT and ICD-10 CM coding and modifiers based on documentation
      - Monitor charge flow and act as a liaison with managers and billing personnel to ensure accurate charge processing
      - Identify, report, and resolve coding and reimbursement issues to reduce claim denials
      - Develop and maintain protocols related to assigned areas
      - Participate in new provider orientations and address trends impacting coding and billing

      **What is Required (Qualifications):**
      - Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 CM coding
      - Understanding of medical insurance guidelines and governmental policies
      - Progressive computer skills and attention to detail
      - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team and department staff
      - Meet or exceed established production rates and performance standards

      **How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):**
      - Experience in a healthcare billing or coding environment
      - Familiarity with Teaching Physician and provider documentation policies
