What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assign or verify CPT and ICD-10 CM coding and modifiers based on documentation
- Monitor charge flow and liaise with managers and billing personnel to ensure accurate charge processing
- Identify, report, and resolve coding and reimbursement issues to reduce claim denials
- Develop and maintain protocols related to assigned coding areas
- Educate providers on documentation policies and address trends impacting coding

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 CM coding
- Understanding of medical insurance guidelines and governmental policies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet established production rates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and department staff
- Progressive computer skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in coding and billing within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with teaching physician documentation policies
- Previous involvement in provider education or orientation programs
