Job Description

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers, including decimals and fractions and the ability to use a calculator. Ability to use measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers and heat probes, where interpretation is required.
- Familiarity with HSE Regulations
- Ability to read and comprehend reference material such as production orders, prints and specifications
- Ability to exercise judgment to set up, adjust and operate a chipper, determining appropriate settings and operational sequences pounds and be able to manipulate and install dies.
- Certified Production Technician
- LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of HSE Regulations
- Strong understanding of mechanical components
- Knowledge of material sciences, metallurgy, aluminum.
- Ability to learn all Press operator positions
Corporate Center in Hydro is mainly located at Vækerø and has around 260 employees within the areas of Finance, People & Safety, Legal and Compliance, Communication & Public Affairs and Corporate Development.
Scope:
Perform Coiler functions as part of the full Press operator position, in compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Programs and quality assurance systems to support the achievement of the sites goals and business objectives. Perform duties to set up, adjust, and operate Coiler, determining appropriate settings and operational sequences, within the limitations of standard methods and procedures. Troubleshoot Coiler operation in areas relating to manufacturing problem resolution and process improvement, working within the limits of established policies.
Your qualifications and skills
Excellent mental and visual attention to monitor extrusion operations involving repetitive or diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity.
