- Apply legal principles relevant to commercial, contract and other relevant law.
- Give technically accurate, commercial advice, taking the client’s perspective into account.
- Use the firm’s legal sources and research tools to produce comprehensive research, identifying and analysing issues correctly.
- Produce grammatically accurate documentation of the highest quality.
- Develop an understanding of business dynamics and the market in which your client operates and keep up-to-date with developments in client organisations.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to client requests, adapting your style and approach to suit the client’s preferred ways of working.
- Promote the firm externally (e.g. support recruitment events and CSR activities) and contribute to marketing publications and pitches.
- Develop your network with internal colleagues and your external peer group.
- Take personal responsibility for understanding your brief and for delivering on time and to exceptional standards.
- Manage and file documents effectively, keeping accurate records and attendance notes.
- Maximise your productivity by keeping yourself occupied with client or other activities and by using all the firm’s resources.
- Actively involve and encourage others to participate and to share their opinions, questioning and listening to what colleagues have to say.
- Establish constructive and collaborative working relationships.
- Act in line with our values; showing respect and courtesy to others, acting with integrity and bringing positivity and enthusiasm to the team.
- Communicate clearly, calmly and concisely, without using technical jargon.
