      The Collateral Optimisation Middle Office VP is a senior level position responsible for supporting opportunistic Optimisations of Collateral as well as supporting the transformation agenda for the uplift of Optimisation platforms and Target state. The overall objective of this role is to meet the objectives and key results for Collateral Management within the Margin and collateral Markets Operations organisaiton.

      Responsibilities:

      • Work with the Finance desk to identify, analyse and support the implementation of Collateral Optimisation opportunities in Markets Operations.
      • Own and drive projects that contribute to the objectives and key results of Collateral Management including commercial, risk and platform initiatives.
      • Own the front to back project management of Collateral Management initiatives including analysis, design, requirements gathering, testing, implementation and roll out.
      • Contribute to sound design and strategy for the target end state for Collateral Optimisation.
      • Recommend and implement new systems and enhancements for the Collateral Management ecosystem.
      • Provide an in-depth analysis and develop solutions to issues related to Collateral Optimisation
      • Conduct discovery and due diligence activities on platform architecture and processes to be able to move existing frameworks from current to target state.
      • Assess manual processes and associated risks and identify areas for improvement
      • Advise and coach new/lower level personnel
      • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


      Qualifications:

      • 6-10 years of relevant experience
      • Subject matter expert in at least one area of Collateral Management or Optimisation.
      • Advanced knowledge of Tri Party Agents and vendors that support Collateral Management.
      • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


      Education:

      • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
      • Master’s degree preferred

      We are seeking a highly motivated, self starter with a proven track record in an Operations function in support of run the bank and change the bank initiatives.

      The Collateral Optimisation Middle Office is a small global team that drives and executes on set targets and objectives for the Optimisation of Collateral for Markets Operations. These are both short and long term in nature whilst we deliver on opportunistic opportunities and deliver on the longer term target state.

      A commitment to quality and excellent are necessary as well as a flexibility to approach used, changes as needed that they arise in this dynamic and past paced environment.
