      St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) seeks candidates for the position of Program Coordinator in the College Counseling Office.

      St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college preparatory day school serving more than 920 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Our two campuses are located approximately a mile apart in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving Grades K-5 on our Goodrich Campus and Grades 6-12 on our Randolph Campus. The school draws students from St. Paul, Minneapolis, and throughout the eastern and western suburbs.

      About the Upper School:

      The Upper School is home to students in Grades 9-12 and is characterized by advanced inquiry, lively discussion, deep engagement with topics, a strong sense of community, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Students develop the habits and relationships that will carry them through high school and into the world of college and beyond. The Upper School's rigorous academic curriculum and seminar-based learning model are complemented by a network of support that includes teachers, advisors, college counselors, and resources for both academic and social/emotional well-being.

      Position Begins: September 2025
      Status: .75 FTE, Non-exempt (10-month, 30 hours per week)
      Department: College Counseling, Instructional Support
      Salary Range: $23-$25/hour

      The ideal candidate will be curious to learn about 9-12 and higher education, eager to contribute to the life of a close-knit school community, team-oriented, and committed to the support of SPA Upper School students.

      Summary of Duties

      • College Counseling Data Management - SCOIR, Veracross, Parchment, College Board, ACT.

      • College application process: Monitor and submit documents supporting applications

      • Special program applications: scholarships, summer programs. and semester away

      • Schedule and host college admission officer visits to the college counseling office

      • Standardized Test Coordination

        • School Day testing (practice tests and AP Exams)

        • Saturday National testing (SAT and ACT, a total of four times per school year)

        • Testing to support international university admissions, as needed

      • Office support, including but not limited to: updating, proofreading, and distributing monthly newsletters, editing and updating the college counseling website, and special events logistics

      • Other duties as assigned, including support of schoolwide data management

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree

      • Highly organized and detail-oriented. Able to work independently on projects as well as to take direction and consult college counselors as needed.

      • Experience working effectively under steady deadline pressure in a busy environment. Ability to juggle several unrelated projects at once. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

      • Experience managing computer databases (PC) and very strong experience using Excel to download and convert data files and manage records. Experience with both Microsoft Office and Google Apps.

      • Personable approach to supporting a variety of people, students, and adults, both in person and on the phone. Patience and flexibility are a must.

      • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, including confident phone communication.

      • Prior administrative experience in a school/educational setting will be helpful, but not required.
