      Job Summary

      We are inviting a motivated Scan Ops Engineer 2 to become an integral part of our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will support the management and execution of vulnerability scanning across a wide range of assets. Leveraging tools such as Qualys, you will collaborate with team members to enhance our scanning processes and contribute to maintaining the security and effectiveness of our operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your skills in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

      Job Description

      Responsibilities:

      • Assist in daily vulnerability scanning operations, including setting up and monitoring scans.

      • Help identify and resolve scan-related issues and ensure effective scan coverage.

      • Participate in the improvement of scanning processes through scaling and optimization.

      • Support senior team members in managing and executing vulnerability scanning tasks.

      • Contribute to the development of scanning standards and procedures.

      • Collaborate with security, development, and IT ops teams to streamline scanning processes.

      • Assist in reporting on scanning performance metrics.

      • Help in the configuration of scans and policy settings.

      • Participate in troubleshooting network-related scanning issues.

      • Understand and apply basic authentication mechanisms for scanning purposes.

      • Maintain documentation and guides related to scanning operations.

      Requirements:

      • 1+ years of experience in vulnerability scanning or a related field.

      • Basic understanding of vulnerability management and scanning tools.

      • Willingness to learn and improve scanning techniques and processes.

      • Basic knowledge of networking and security principles.

      • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

      • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

      • Relevant degrees or certifications in cybersecurity or related fields are desirable.

      Compensation

      National Pay Range: $53,431.01 USD-$125,228.92 USD

      Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
