Job Summary This job code is to be used for internships and co-ops. It is not to be used for temporary or contract workers. Job Description Program Overview The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way. Role Overview The DevOps Co-op will be part of CDS cloud infrastructure team who will work closely with development ,network and security team to deliver reliable, performant, and scalable software products. You’ll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast while building systems & metrics that are reusable. DevOps Co-op will assist in all aspects of the deployment and automation process, including research, implementation, testing and documentation. Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working with an agile team to setup and configure cloud-based environments. Design,develop and secure cloud system architectures in accordance with established standards. Actively participate in meetings with the development/network/security teams. Support deployment of releases. Analysing and resolving technical and application problems. Preferred Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Software development knowledge - Knowledge on Cloud - Basics of at least one of the programming languages - Good understanding of Linux - Knowledge on Git Preferred Qualifications Preferred Majors: Computer Science or equivalent Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university that has a cooperative learning track. Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 25, 2023 through March 29, 2024. Available to report in-person to the work location provided above. 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA preferred. Relevant Work Experience 0-2 Years Salary: Base Pay: $32.00 Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
