      The Communication Analyst provides a range of professional communications expertise and services, including writing and editorial services, graphic design, communications planning and research, facilitation and event management.

      Job Requirements:

      • Certificate or diploma in a related field, such as communications, public relations, graphic design, writing, marketing, journalism or English, and a minimum of one (1) year’s experience developing a variety of communication materials, such as presentations, reports, speaking notes, web content, or newsletters, OR
      • An equivalent combination of related training, education and experience may be considered.

      Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following:

      • Two (2) or more years of experience creating a variety of professional communications materials, in plain language and/or visually.
      • Graphic design and/or data visualization training or experience.
      • Experience developing communications materials for employees working in flexible/hybrid or geographically dispersed work environments.
      • Self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, status or non-status, Métis, or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.
      • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, such as communications, graphic design, public relations,
        marketing or journalism.
      • Experience developing communications materials for the social sector or a social service organization.

      Provisos

      • Overnight travel may be required to support and facilitate events (typically no more than once a year).

      About this Position:
      This is a temporary opportunity until 12/31/2024.
      A permanent appointment may result from this temporary appointment.
      Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
      This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
      An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
      Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
