The Commercial Account Administrator provides skilled administrative support to VP, Portfolio Manager, loan officers and customer base. Coordinates commercial account openings and prepares loan documentation. Books loans in a timely manner and creates documentation files. Interacts with commercial customers to ensure that all of their needs are met. Must work with reasonable independence, yet within a team environment, and possess knowledge of the Bank’s operations, practices and policies. Duties also include gathering information for credit analysis, coordination of loan closings and credit file maintenance.
• Provides day-to-day administrative support to assigned Commercial loan officers, including report preparation and other administrative duties.
• Prepares loan documentation using LaserPro, conducts closings as authorized, disburses loan proceeds, prepares loan set-up sheets for input and creates documentation files.
• Frequently interacts with outside attorneys and reviews attorney prepared documentation for accuracy prior to loan closings. May also interact with accounting professionals, construction inspectors, and internal departments to complete assignments and tasks.
• Assists commercial personnel in servicing and selling cash management products and services.
• Promotes and maintains commercial account relationships by functioning as a liaison between commercial customers, lending personnel and other areas of the bank.
• As directed, processes loan paydowns and advances for customers with lines of credit, transfers funds between accounts, initiates and documents construction loan advances, processes wire transfers, and assists in making and processing daily overdraft decisions.
• Prepares credit references on commercial accounts in accordance with industry standards (RMA Code of Ethics).
• Assists loan officers in maintaining current credit and legal files.
• Works with the Accounting Department to continuously monitor general ledger accounts to ensure that third party services are paid according to internal procedures and that funds are cleared accurately and on a timely basis.
• Maintains certain databases, updates several tracking systems such as financial statement tickler, UCC tickler, appraisal tickler, insurance tickler and pipeline report.
• Generates a variety of reports, such as the delinquency report, new and closed loan reports, rejected items report, and others necessary for portfolio management.• General banking experience including a basic knowledge of overall bank policies and procedures. Basic knowledge of commercial loan documentation. Must possess excellent communication and public relations skills with an emphasis on servicing high profile customers in a discreet and professional manner along with good research, computer and written communication skills. Must also have a working knowledge of commercial deposit and lending products and services, policies, procedures and related areas.
• Two year college degree or equivalent. Two to three years business experience, preferably in a banking environment. Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).Clinton Savings Bank is an EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
