Position Title: Commercial Account Manager II
Department: Greylock Insurance Agency, Westfield Office
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days in office, one day remote after training)

Under the direction of the Vice President, Senior Commercial Lines & Business Development Manager, performs a variety of duties in support of the insurance agency function in conformance with established Agency and Credit Union policies, strategies and procedures.
Key Job Requirements:
1.Performs any functions, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to the clients, prospective clients and guests served by Greylock Insurance Agency while performing all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines and Credit Union policies and procedures.
2. Gathers information; is able to accurately classify workers compensation, general liability and business auto risks and follow insurance company guidelines to property quote and place new and renewal business with the appropriate carrier. Utilizes insurance carrier software/website to quote, refer to underwriting and where applicable bind and issue new policies with carriers and accepted brokerages. Is also able to submit marketing submissions to carriers we are not able to quote with online or using software.
3. Confidently discusses options/quotes and makes recommendations for policy suggestions/changes with existing and potential customers. Be prepared to respond to frequently asked questions. Ensures that all customer inquiries are responded to and provides an insurance solution to everyone who requests a quote or inquires about GIA commercial insurance products.
4. Advises and assists customers in claims process by using company websites and industry software. Answers questions and assures customers their claims will be handled promptly.
5.Takes ownership of assigned portfolio. Reviews renewals 90-120 days in advance to begin working with the producer or client to determine what renewal activity is necessary (remarketing, coverage changes, upsells etc…). Obtain necessary renewal information from carriers such as loss runs to aid in remarketing. And monitor the renewal process until policy renewal. Provides excellent customer service and adheres to Greylock’s motto to treat customers/members better than they expect.
6. Transacts agency billed accounts and is able to breakdown an agency bill customer account and assist the finance department with any requested customer account reconciliations. Ensures carrier/brokerage billing statements are transmitted to the Finance Department for net premium payment. Reviews customer account statements each month and works with producer and/or customer to help collect past and overdue premiums
7. Understands and is familiar with customer premium financing and is familiar with the process of customer return premiums and how they are handled with an active premium finance agreement.
8. Understands premium audit procedures and is able to assist and advise customers and their finance personnel in obtaining the appropriate documentation and assisting and advising clients and their representatives in the accurate completion of premium audits and audit estimates.
9. Obtain Workers’ Compensation Experience Rating Worksheets from the Workers Compensation Bureau, advise and assist customers in their review of rating classifications, proper payroll reporting by carriers as well as reviewing losses for potential aggravated inequity claims.
10. Accurately assist and advise business auto customers of U.S.D.O.T. and Massachusetts D.O.T. vehicle registration and marking requirements. Be familiar with USDOT and USFMCA requirements for businesses conducting interstate commerce
11. Achieves expected standards in up-selling/cross-selling by reviewing existing customers’ policies and asking the appropriate questions that will result in cross-selling additional policies and up-selling needed features to current policies.
12. Cross-sells Greylock products (referrals) to non-Credit Union members, as well as have a basic understanding of the products and services the Credit Union has to offer.
13. Schedules and presents information at branch and departmental meetings. Prepares and conducts presentations with confidence and enthusiasm.
14. Understands insurance concepts and is able to explain contract terms for personal lines products in a way that is understandable to our customers.
Related Responsibilities:
15.Actively represents the Credit Union in local civic, community and professional organizations. Promotes the Credit Union wherever and whenever possible.
16.Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines and Credit Union policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Two-five years of insurance experience. Successful completion of P&C licensing within the first 6 months from date of hire. Excellent verbal communication, telephone etiquette, and customer service and organizational skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Professional appearance. Able to maintain confidential information.
Training: Must successfully complete all company website training and all coverage training.

The salary range for this role is $25.21 to $32.77 an hour. This is the salary range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may pay more than the posted range for exceptionally qualified individuals. An employee’s pay position within the pay band will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience (job and life), skills (specific and transferable), seniority, performance, and business organizational needs. This range may also be modified in the future.
