      About this role:

      Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Associate to join the Franchise Finance team. Franchise Finance specializes in providing financing for multi-unit branded restaurant, convenience store and hotel operations that have a regional or national presence. The Portfolio Associate’s duties will include providing transaction support for new business origination and ongoing portfolio management, partnering with members of the business development and portfolio management teams.


      In this role, you will:

      • Leverage strong communication skills, collaboration, adaptability, and attention to detail to thrive in a dynamic environment.
      • Research complex financial and credit information for commercial business, or high net worth customer loan packages, according to business unit standards within Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area
      • Review basic issues, policies, or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low to medium risk tasks and deliverables
      • Underwrite loans with aggregate credit exposure based upon approved credit authority limits
      • Receive direction from supervisor and exercise independent judgement while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
      • Collaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders including internal as well as external customers


      Required Qualifications:

      • 6+ months of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


      Desired Qualifications:

      • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
      • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
      • Commercial loan experience
      • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
      • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
      • Advanced Excel experience
      • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

      Pay Range

      Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

      $69,900.00 - $124,300.00
