We design, build and install a variety of exciting and interesting projects related to soundproofing and acoustics to control sound in many different commercial and residential environments including: live performing art theaters, music studios, restaurants, residences, offices, fitness centers, home entertainment rooms, live music venues, medical settings, and more. We also do product research and development. Our vision is to deliver technologically proven soundproofing solutions that provide peace, privacy, and comfort to our clients.We're a licensed general contractor company as well and we are expanding our company to feature projects that include residential and commercial remodels, additions, ADU's and ground-up construction projects.Job Description:Soundproof San Diego is looking for a seasoned Construction Project Manager with a strong knowledge of field construction, excellent administrative/organizational/people skills, and a high level of attention to detail. We are looking for someone that can lead field production efficiently and in a professional manner. This position will manage multiple construction projects at once while ensuring accordance with design, budget, quality, schedule, and (safety and code) compliance regulations. The position requires on-site leadership and resourcefulness, collaborative solutions, and best practices to drive results. The ideal candidate will be personable, can work with all types of personalities, be a self-starter, and can function effectively with minimal direct supervision. This is a position with an opportunity to bring your own personal nuances, expertise, and previously proven philosophy to strengthen the team – perfect for someone who is confident in their abilities but eager to learn about our specialty niche!Qualifications:· US work authorization, driver's license, and reliable transportation· 7 years of relevant field experience in Residential and Commercial Construction· 5 years Construction Project Management experience. Must have experience in project management duties and responsibilities required to manage the day-to-day operations of large public, military, government and private projects in excess of 1 million dollars.. Ability to enter and maintain daily journal and data entries when required per project.· Ability to work with and train with hands on different scopes of work when needed to complete projects is· Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or similar field (), or equivalent work experience· OSHA 10/OSHA 30· Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings· Strong leadership and management skills· General knowledge of basic and advance task management software, general knowledge and application of computer software Procore, PM4+, ACC Build, Revizto, BIM (self-performing or coordinating), Microsoft suite and/or willing to learn new software.· Hands-on experience with directing the activities of contractors and crews· Must have excellent administration, organizational, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.· Growth mindset with a desire to create a sustainable culture for long-term employment and growth of the company. Ability and experience of working with and for large general contractors on highly visible public/government projects.. Ability to step in and assist estimating department when required .Responsibilities and Duties:· Coordinate efforts across entire project between General contractors, architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors· Perform job start and manage the day-to-day operations of multiple projects and their scopes, including scheduling workers, managing materials, supervising the use of machinery and equipment, monitoring progress and quality to ensure prior work is completed to our high standards before continuing work, observing and enforcing safety compliance, interfacing with clients and vendors, coordinating punch list, and performing close-out.· Recruit, hire, retain, and train company personnel and subcontractors as needed to ensure complete understanding and expectations of the scope of work. Create training manuals and modules for field workers as well as tools kits and materials list for each job type. Use conflict resolution skills to mediate problems among staff when needed. Lead performance reviews. Motivate and direct your team to ensure delivery of project.· Ensure projects conform to budgetary guidelines, manage change orders, and work with estimating and other office staff for billing and contracts· Read and understand plans and specs, learn about our specialty construction methods/procedures, and research new products/materials.· Enforce safety standards and regulations to mitigate, prevent, and resolve risks and emergencies within all scopes of the projects.· Inspect all deliveries, ensuring the materials are the right quantity and quality and are properly placed at the job site.· Deliver excellent customer service by understanding client motivation and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction for demanding clients· Establish and maintain good relationships with all levels of staff, vendors and clients in order to contribute to the positive reputation of the company as this position is the primary contact and liaison for all the parties involved.· Provide feedback to owner/management regarding processes, procedures, and employee performance to improve our overall building experience. Develop best practices, SOPs, etc.· Knowledge of private, public and government project protocols and requirements.· A strict achievement of quality control and professionalism is a must. Maintain and expand a positive and productive with all our current and new relationships with all trade partnersPhysical Requirements:· Bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and balancing; frequent standing and walking, sometimes on uneven and rough terrain.· Climbing ladders; moving/carrying construction materials and supplies weighing more than 50 pounds.· Tolerance of moderate to very loud noise. Environmental conditions vary depending on weather, stage of production, and where work takes place. Some of the following conditions apply at various times, hot, cold, wet, dry, muddy, humid, windy, calm, bright, dark, noisy, dusty, poor lighting, poor ventilation, temperature variations, fog, and rain. Airborne particles such as wood dust, drywall dust, etc. are common in the field environment.· Must be willing to travel between job sites daily.
