- We are hiring Commercial Door Installers of all levels for a large construction company. This is a long-term opportunity for career-minded individuals looking to advance and stay with a company. The scope of work includes lab, multi-family, and high and mid-rise mixed-use construction projects located primarily in downtown San Diego and Carlsbad area.
- Install doors, frames, and hardware in commercial construction projects.
- Work with hollow metal, knockdown aluminum, and architectural flush/stile & rail doors.
- Install mechanical and electrified hardware.
- Interpret hardware schedules and project drawings.
- Ensure compliance with ADA and Fire Code regulations.
- Perform fabrication and installation tasks.
- Manage materials and maintain standards and tolerances for door/frame/hardware installations.
- Lift and handle materials weighing 50 lbs or more.
- 2-8 years of experience as a Door Installer.
- Proficiency in installing hollow metal, knockdown aluminum, and architectural flush/stile & rail doors.
- Experience with mechanical hardware.
- Knowledge of electrified hardware for journeyman level.
- Carpentry skills including use of power tools, drilling, and hand tools.
- Understanding of BHMA & ANSI Finish Designations.
- Knowledge of ADA & Fire Code Compliance.
- Experience with keying systems (preferred).
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification (preferred).
- Fall Protection certification (preferred).
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Certifications from major hardware manufacturers or AAADM Certification (preferred).
- This role involves working on commercial construction projects in the field. There are currently three projects, with additional projects starting soon. Projects include an assisted living facility, lab space in Carlsbad, and a mid-rise project in downtown San Diego.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
