What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the Underwriter in calculating, preparing, and developing premium quotations using corporate underwriting guidelines
- Support agency relationships and address agents’ and policyholders’ concerns
- Develop new business and retain existing business in a designated territory
- Analyze and review production and loss information for agents
- Participate in promotional plans and special committees as needed

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, insurance, or a related field
- One year of relevant experience in underwriting, marketing, loss prevention, or auditing
- Strong ability to evaluate and determine proper pricing for prospective policyholders
- Proficiency in using computers and company standard software
- Knowledge of commercial auto and independent agency systems

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification, or progress toward certification, in insurance-related fields
- Agency management and marketing experience
- Ability to negotiate and maintain effective working relationships with clients
- Experience in analyzing territory or region to identify problems and implement corrective actions
- Ability to comprehend and implement audit procedures for agencies
