- Strong time management and organizational skills needed.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial C & I and/or Commercial Real Estate loan documentation.
- Good personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word and E-mail.
- Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the accurate and complete preparation and/or review of a variety of commercial loan documents utilizing both the Bank’s document preparation system and attorney prepared documents in accordance with the approved credit facility. Types of documentation will primarily include commercial and commercial real estate loans secured by a wide array of collateral (i.e. business assets, real estate, leases, marketable securities, etc.).
Job Responsibilities:
1.
Maintain a solid foundation in all areas of commercial loan documentation.
2.
Analyze and interpret the Credit Approval document and supplemental vendor information to determine borrower, collateral and guarantor requirements, and ensure production of appropriate documentation in compliance with the terms of the loan request.
3.
Prepare and/or review new and renewed loan documents ensuring that all are in compliance with the credit approval document before releasing documents for execution for Commercial C & I and Commercial Real Estate loans.
4.
Collaborate and provide feedback to Lending Staff on any concerns identified as it pertains to loan documentation, or any material changes that may be needed.
5.
Interact with third party vendors to include flood vendor, appraisers, title companies and attorneys to obtain outstanding closing documents.
6.
Forwards loan documentation package to Lending Staff with appropriate closing instructions and additional required documents if needed.
7.
Under minimal supervision to process a complex line of loan product sets along with modifications and renewals of commercial based lending.
8.
Establish, foster and maintain strong and positive working relationships with team members, Lending, Operations Staff and department managers. Provide a high level of customer service when responding to internal departments to resolve questions.
9.
Attend all BSA training (at least annual) offered through the bank. More frequent and/or specific training may be required, depending on job responsibilities. Perform job responsibilities to ensure the bank’s compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures, which include detecting potential suspicious activity and reporting such activity to the BSA Officer and may include gathering and entering data into systems for monitoring and reporting.
Note: Incumbent may be asked to perform other non-essential duties as assigned.
