Understands commercial loan concepts, policies and procedures and assists employees and/or members with inquiries regarding commercial loans.
Establishes and maintains effective communication, coordination and working relations with Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union personal and management.
Enters borrower data into system and maintains accuracy of information in the loan origination system.
Update loan files within the loan origination system as necessary to ensure consistent processes of completed tasks assigned and completion.
Reviews complex entity documents for authority to transact business; determines the appropriate signor on behalf of borrower; obtains evidence of existence and good standing from Secretary of State.
Analyzes loan approval memo for proposed loan transactions (new, refinance and 7a SBA); determines all necessary documentation required for each transaction and establishes a comprehensive closing checklist which details all documentation requirements; advises commercial lenders on various documentation, legal, or policy issues that may affect a proposed structure or collateral package; strives to seek solution to avoid potential documentation weaknesses and to solve collateral exception problems.
Manages all assigned loans in respective pipeline while working within stated timelines reported in real estate contracts as well as management established turnaround times.
Prepares the loan file, loan closing documents and completes all tasks and responsibilities to ensure that they are accurate in order to have a fully compliant loan; Reviews and validates all documents for any errors that are required to clear the approval conditions before submitting to Quality Assurance review.
Order appraisals and evaluations through 3rd party appraisal management company, order title commitments and/or title searches, request survey quotes from surveyors, order flood determinations, order tax transcripts through 3rd party vendor, order environmental data report or Phase 1 environmental report, request for hazard and/or flood insurance from member and request for payoff letters.
Act as intermediaries between all parties in the closing transaction of which include members, attorneys, closing agents and commercial loan officers to answer any questions and resolve any issues.
Maintains current knowledge of Lender’s policies and procedures, all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Completes annual compliance testing/training/certification in a timely manner.
Prepare and generate wires for the title company, borrowers and construction builder; balance and reconcile general ledgers on a weekly basis. Provide funding authorization to the title company.
Quality Control is completed post-closing by reviewing all signed loan documents, verify that all booking was completed accurately and enter all information required in the core system (DNA).

High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree in Management or a related field preferred
Minimum of two years commercial loan experience required
Current or prior employment in a financial institution with a working knowledge of business lending, entity structures required
Ability to prioritize daily work load and manage multiple transactions and business relationships
Experience with federal and state regulations pertaining to commercial credit; experience with Small Business Administration (SBA) and a working knowledge of loan service procedures are preferred
Detail oriented with excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills
Contribute and maintain a positive work atmosphere of mutual respect

Primary function of the Commercial Loan Processor is to ensure the timely and accurate evaluation of the packing of all commercial loans originated by our Commercial Loan Officers. The Commercial Loan Processor is responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is accurately verified and complies with RBFCU policies and procedures while providing a high level of member service.
