  As a Commercial Security Guard, there is a high focus on scheduled Patrols , excellent reporting and customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in a commercial environment.

  Responsibilities for Commercial Security Guard

  • Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitors
  • Manage access control
  • Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
  • Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
  • Answer questions in person or by phone
  • Write Daily reports and incident reports and communicate security concerns
  • Access control of entry ways and exit points using equipment at your disposal.
  • Use G-track devise to conduct scheduled patrols per shift
  • Performing External Patrol at the Premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
  • Perform environmental checks – water leaks, excessive air flow, unusual noises etc.
  • Contact maintenance for any lighting, heating and other problems.
  • Conduct interior patrol of the building according to the schedule.
  • Deter criminal activity. Guards may be expected to engage in visible deterrence through their presence and by adhering to security procedures. security presence.
  • Hourly tower tours.
  • Respond to various emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches.
  • Enforce Property regulations and city Bi- Laws on the client's site.
  • Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.

  Qualifications for Commercial Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid Manitoba security license
  • First aid certification an asset
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Be good with Technology
  • Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
  • Be able to stay back , if the client modifies the shift as per their need
  • Be able to do long patrols for 3 buildings
  • Be able to Night shifts
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • There is no Parking facility at site
