  Responsible for pick up and delivery of inbound and outbound to customer location, using company vehicles at least 50% of the time. Employee driver who will operate commercial motor vehicles (vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Range of >10,000 lb ≤26,000 lb) in the area surrounding a DB Schenker facility (within a 150 air-mile radius). Tasks & Responsibilities:
  
  

  • Verify shipment-bills for required information and load freight onto trucks
  • Unload freight from trucks and weigh/check dimensions compared to shipper's calculations
  • Sort outbound freight between overnight and second-day and load ULD and trucks
  • Deliver freight to customer location using company vehicles
  • Recover freight from customer location using company vehicles
    
    

  Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills:
  
  

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
  • This is an intermediate level position. Good interpersonal skills required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally, prefer 2-4 years of experience. We are an equal opportunity employer.   We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a base hourly pay which is $32.75 an hour. Our benefits package includes paid time off and paid sick time in the first year, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, disability insurance, and more as described in our [1] benefits guide. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, performance, geography, and internal equity. Benefits may be subject to waiting periods and other terms and conditions.
