      Located at the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city center, Traders Hotel by Shangri-La is looking for a dynamic, and multi-skilled talent in delivering our Asian hospitality.

      Reports To: Sous Chef
      Job Summary:

      The Commis assists in preparing and cooking food items, maintaining a clean workstation, and supporting the kitchen team with daily operations, including food preparation, plating, and inventory management.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and quality standards.

      • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.

      • Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.

      • Support senior chefs with daily kitchen tasks and food presentation.

      • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control.

      Skills and Qualifications:

      • Minimum SPM level education or relevant certification.

      • 1 to 3 years of experience in All Day Dining or Specialty operations

      • Basic English communication skills (speaking and understanding).

      Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
