About the role Due to a consistent rate of growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are seeking a Commissioning Officer to join our team. The Commissioning Officer is a hands-on role with broad technical knowledge and experience working on substation projects that play a key part in Australia’s transition to net zero. The role is on our Zinfra Contracting VIC Testing & Commissioning Enterprise Agreement 2021 with a competitive salary on offer. A tool of trade vehicle will be provided. In this role you will travel around Victoria, working a 9-day fortnight for the most part, with some overtime. Key Responsibilities include * Planning and leading brownfield and greenfield 22kV-500kV Substation project testing and commissioning activities * Planning and executing outage activities * Tracking and reporting progress according to the project commissioning schedule * Protection, control relay, switchgear, CT and CV testing * IEC61850 system testing * Drawing, ITP and defect/RFI management * Provide diagnostic testing and maintenance services on a wide variety of electrical protection and control relays & equipment About You To be considered for this role you will have previous experience in a similar role working on complex brownfield and greenfield projects including; * Qualifications in an Advanced Diploma of ESI Power Systems or Electrical Engineering Degree * Australian transmission/distribution network experience * Significant VESI/Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) experience in commissioning; * Relevant training in line with VESI * Be proficient in the operation of Doble secondary injection test equipment and other primary plant test equipment * Experience with IEC61850 projects is desirable Why you should come and work for us We are a champion of equal opportunity employment and have committed to targets for gender equity and first nations representation in our workforce.
