Job summary
We are looking to appoint a meticulous individual who is highly organised and efficient in order to support the work of the Corporate Governance Team.
As an experienced administrator with a track record of servicing Board level committees, the post holder will be part of an experienced and professional team but will be expected to work autonomously. This role is primarily focused on providing robust administrative support as Committee Secretariat to the Board's Committees, in order to ensure the smooth functioning of its activities in accordance with the Corporate Governance Framework. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Governance, and working closely with Executive Director Leads and Independent Member Chairs, the role will entail providing administrative support for the servicing of the Board's Committees including the development of committee work programmes and formal report writing.
Main duties of the job
This is a challenging role which will include the preparing, collating and disseminating of committee papers, as well as taking and transcribing formal minutes. The ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate tact and diplomacy at all times is essential, and to demonstrate commitment to the team by working flexibly to cover annual leave, sickness and training.The successful candidate should have in-depth knowledge of corporate governance and committee services. Advanced keyboard and computer skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
