      JOB TITLE: Commodities and Structuring Product Manager

      LOCATION: London

      SALARY: Competitive package

      HOURS: Full time

      WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days

      per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

      About this opportunity

      The Trade and Working Capital team provides commercial banking solutions to businesses of all sizes, in the UK and internationally. These solutions are grounded in an in-depth understanding of clients, a passion for enabling businesses to efficiently handle their liquidity, complete payments, mitigate their risks, fund trade flows and support growth.

      We’re looking for an individual who is experienced in commodities and structured Trade Finance products to work in a team of product specialists within the business. You will be working with the Product Director in structuring, underwriting and managing the product suite, while also ensuring alignment to core regulatory requirements and compliance policies and delivering great customer outcomes.

      You’ll work with a high energy team of product specialists, as well as key partners in other areas of the bank, to unlock growth whilst championing an environment of diversity and customer centric innovation, promoting new ways of working to deliver our broader purpose – Helping Britain Prosper.

      Role Accountabilities

      • Design and develop trade commodity finance products while ensuring compliance with the bank's internal product governance policies.
      • Develop product and pricing strategies in line with overall group policy and regulations.
      • Monitor product performance and market trends to identify opportunities for enhancement and innovation.
      • Support the sales team in structuring complex Trade transactions and provide ad-hoc training as required.
      • Ensure products comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
      • Collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure we deliver the best solutions for our clients.
      • Provide training and support to sales teams to effectively market trade finance products
      • Work closely with Transaction risk management team to assess and mitigate risks associated with trade finance products
      • Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry developments and competitor offerings

      What you’ll need

      • Evidenced, relevant experience in trade finance, with a focus on commodity finance products.
      • Proven track record in product development and management in financial services.
      • Strong understanding of trade finance instruments and commodity markets.
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
      • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
