University of Illinois Urbana – Champaign in Champaign, IL
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign graduating between May 2024 and December 2027
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or other related disciplines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must possess writing, presentation and market research skills
- Able to complete a part-time (15-20 hours per week), 14-week internship in the Spring 2024 semester (January – May 2024)
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Must include cover letter with application
- Pursuing a minor in Art & Design, Statistics or other related disciplines
- Graphic design experience

Internship at the Cargill Innovation Lab at UIUC in Champaign, IL
YOU MUST CURRENTLY BE ENROLLED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS, URBANA-CHAMPAIGN (UIUC) FOR THIS INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY WITH CARGILL AT THE UIUC RESEARCH PARK
In partnership with the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) Research Park, you will be given the opportunity as an intern to work with Digital Foundry at Cargill through our local office, The Cargill Innovation Lab at UIUC, to gain hands on experience in real business situations and explore Cargill’s businesses and functions during the work term.
Be an integral part of a close-knit Cargill Innovation Lab at UIUC intern team. Guided by two on-site, seasoned industry professionals, the team is comprised of 20+ interns each semester ranging in roles from marketing, software engineering, UX UI design and data science. Interns work individually or on small teams to fulfill prototype projects or provide digital services to Cargill product leaders. As a group, you’ll have ample opportunities for professional development, 1:1 coaching, networking and fun.
As a Communications and Market Research intern, you will work across a variety of digital product initiatives and teams to provide copywriting and market research support. Communications responsibilities could range from drafting blog posts, crafting e-newsletters, writing early drafts of press releases, collaborating on naming exercises for prototypes or writing copy for screens of an app. Research tasks could range from target audience research, crafting surveys or questionnaires, market research to competitive research.
