      Your opportunity:

      The Office of the Registrar at U of T Mississauga delivers registrarial services to support U of Mississauga's academic goals and U of T priorities in the areas of student information, interpretation of policies, and innovation of registrarial interactions. Our core mission is effective and sustainable strategic enrolment management: student recruitment, retention, success and graduation.       This position produces promotional and outreach materials. Develops content for marketing and/or promotional materials. Determines the logistics required for the drafting, production and dissemination of marketing/communication materials. Research and recommend story ideas that advance priorities and initiatives. Advise on social media trends and platforms to enhance digital communication strategies. Act as the first point of contact for CRM system issues. Track and monitor digital communications activities. Maintain information on digital platforms. Customize website according to objectives or user feedback. Keep well-informed on current technologies, best practices and industry standards. Keeping well-informed on recruitment trends. Providing orientation to others on work procedures and practices.

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Producing promotional and outreach materials
      • Formatting and maintaining communication templates
      • Proofreading and fact-checking content
      • Preparing schedules for the release of pre-planned social media content
      • Verifying that content is consistent with brand identity guidelines
      • Collecting digital assets for online platform use
      • Verifying that links to all related websites are up-to-date
      • Disseminating information via social media

      Essential Qualifications:

      • University degree in communications, creative writing, marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal training in design, layout and/or desktop publishing
      • Minimum 4 years' experience in a fast-paced, communications and customer service role
      • Experience with digital, electronic and print design and production of communications for a diverse community
      • Experience developing, maintaining and updating websites
      • Experience creating and managing social media communications, videos and webinars
      • Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
      • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe, Photoshop/Illustrator, social media, videography and webinars
      • Ability to manage projects, demonstrating initiative with a willingness to learn new technologies and stay informed on best practices
      • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure, independently and as part of a team

      USW Pay Band 09 -- $66,715. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $85,319. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
