  We are searching for a smart and proactive Communications Associate to join our growing team. This individual will play a crucial role supporting the consumer communications team while delivering on company objectives. The Communications Associate will function as a supporting member of DraftKings’ Communications Department, working across the team in a variety of areas detailed below.

  What you’ll do as a Communications Associate:

  • Support the DraftKings Communications Department with a focus on media monitoring, award submissions, speaking engagements and social media management.

  • Assist in developing and drafting communications-related materials, including communications plans, press releases, briefing documents, media pitches, social copy, award submissions, speaking engagement proposals, and LinkedIn and third-party news platforms.

  • Monitor and track media coverage, and manage media lists.

  • Research and manage business awards and speaking engagements for DraftKings executives.

  • Assist in the development of internal and external presentation decks and performance recaps.

  • Develop comprehensive media coverage reports following tentpole corporate announcements.

  • Support administrative efforts including agendas, media monitoring, sports betting insights distributions, conference call coordination, notetaking.

  What you’ll bring:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally agency, in-house, or with a team/league.

  • Creative, quick thinker with solid writing skills and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency on all social media platforms with a focus on LinkedIn and Twitter.

  • Ability to follow the pace of sports storylines and availability to work weekends and holidays depending on game schedules.

  • Robust rolodex of media contacts with a focus in the sports and entertainment space.

  • Charismatic communicator with a passion for developing deep relationships with media partners and influencers.

  • MuckRack, or media database, knowledge preferred.

  As a regulated gaming company, you may be required to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment.

  The US base salary range for this full-time position is $56,000.00 - $84,000.00, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
