      Job Description Summary:

      The Communications Sr. Specialist (Consultant) plays a key role in building engagement and developing culture among the 35,000 associates, providers and volunteers at OhioHealth. This position will support communications for special projects, such as hospital integration and other large-scale, multi-year projects. S/he will support the OhioHealth strategic imperatives of managing reputation, developing culture and building engagement through development and execution of primarily internal communications activities for OhioHealth and its entities. They will also be accountable for coordinating and executing communications plans that align and fulfill OhioHealth's mission, vision, values and strategic priorities.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      Bachelor's Degree (Required)

      Field of Study: Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field

      3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, media, or public relations preferably for a multi-hospital, healthcare system.

      SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

      Necessary skills and experience:

      • Develop communication strategy and manage activities as outlined in communication plans.
      • Execute communication tactics with keen eye for style consistency.
      • Organize content by channel and audience.
      • Incorporate change management concepts in communications approach.
      • Build presentations and present content in front of business partners and leaders.
      • Support crisis management projects
      • Support leaders with communication to external audiences to support OhioHealth’s reputation.

      Keys to success:

      • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills.
      • Strong prioritization and time management skills, extremely strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
      • Mostly works independently but be able to work in a matrixed and collaborative environment.
      • Effectively meet tight deadlines
      • Use analysis/data/tools and critical thinking for complex problems.
      • Strong executive presence
      • Stay abreast of business trends and industry best practices.
      • Ability to explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
