      Your Opportunity

      One Permanent Full Time Position.

      We are looking for an organized, energetic, and technically savvy individual who works well in a fast-paced team environment, appreciates the art of listening and asking questions, and thrives in managing the delivery of multiple tasks across communications work streams.

      Reporting to the Manager, Media Relations and Communications, the Communications Coordinator is responsible for actioning external and internal communications outputs across multiple digital platforms and channels, as well a variety of data and visual asset management initiatives and ad hoc support tasks for the team. The Communications Coordinator will also support the mandate of the broader Communications, Stakeholder Engagement and Community Relations team.

      You will contribute to our team by:

      • Supporting and helping implement a high-quality, innovative and multi-channel delivery of a comprehensive corporate-wide external and internal communications strategy.

      • Actioning, preparing, and publishing deliverables across external and internal communications platforms, including e-newsletter drafts, internal intranet content updates, website content updates, Teams messenger posts, ad-hoc company emails, social posts, and other activities as needed.

      • Supporting data and visual asset collection, management, organization and distribution, inclusive of overseeing the group’s digital asset management software (MediaValet)

      • Developing or assisting in the development of business unit and project communication plans and content.

      • Supporting key team initiatives (internal and external events, communication campaigns, etc.).

      What you will bring to the role:

      Education:

      • Completed university degree or diploma in a related field (communications, journalism, marketing, business, graphic or web design, etc.).

      • Education equivalency may be considered.

      Experience & Skills:

      • 2-5 years communications experience.

      • Formal, technical and creative writing experience an asset.

      • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

      • Experience in corporate communications, social media, website design and content management, data organization and management, and event planning.

      • Experience with updating and publishing digital content (both text and visuals) via platforms such as WordPress, Microsoft SharePoint, e-newsletter software, PowerPoint, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook an asset.

      • Experience with web design/layout and data management is an asset.

      • Attention to detail and timely actioning of deliverables across multiple work streams.

      • Ability to manage, organize and process data and visual assets to support team initiatives.

      • Ability to swiftly apply experience to learn and manage content distribution, organization and updates via variety of digital communications platforms and channels.

      • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to interact with and support a cross-functional team and engage with internal and external clients across the company.

      Working Conditions:

      • Hybrid Office/Work from home position, with possible very minimal travel to meet business users at Capital Power facilities or other offices.

      Additional Details:

      Union: CSU 52

      Wage Range: $46.91 to $55.95 per hour

      Hours of Work: 8-hours a day, 40-hours a week
