      Communications Coordinator

      Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an opening in the Communications & Marketing Department for a Communications Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be committed to working alongside a dedicated Communications & Marketing team.

      The Communications Coordinator will assist with the organization and distribution of internal campus communications and creating content for the campus intranet, MyRose-Hulman; support the Institute’s MyRose-Hulman super users and help to ensure campus news and events are up to date; assist with writing internal campus communications, including communication requests from the President’s Office. In addition, the individual in this role will create written and visual external multiplatform content (including website, social media, email, Echoes alumni magazine, etc.) featuring students, alumni, faculty, and staff; support the development and deployment of various web (CMS) and email (CRM) communications in support of the priorities of Rose-Hulman (including website content development and updates, website support tickets for routine content updates, etc.). The Communications Coordinator will contribute to the development of social media content, management of assigned social media platforms, and coordination of student-produced content for social media.

      Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and one to three years of experience in higher education. Must have excellent organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills; along with ability to multitask and remain focused in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software, including Photoshop, and various social media platforms is required.

      Preferred candidates will have experience working in higher education areas of recruitment and/or advancement, with a background in communications, along with prior experience using project management software.
