      The role of the Communications team is to support the key messages of the Tennessee Titans in both its football and business endeavors, including a thriving concert and events business at Nissan Stadium. The Communications intern will assist in the development and execution of earned media and public relations strategies related to the Tennessee Titans and Nissan Stadium on a local and national level, with a strong focus on supporting non-football events at the stadium. Strong writing skills are essential as the intern will draft, edit, and compose press releases, internal communications, and other materials as needed. The Communications intern will assist with media activities at ticketed events at Nissan Stadium, as well as community and marketing events. They will also play a key role in department administrative duties such as clip reports and media recaps.

      This is a summer internship beginning early May and will conclude at or around August 1st. This internship will be limited to 35 hours per week and will be paid at the rate of $18 per hour.

      Responsibilities:

      • Draft public relations materials including news releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and web copy
      • Assisting with communications collateral, including editing and proofreading project write-ups, articles and other deliverables
      • Identify compelling and creative storylines related to Nissan Stadium events to pitch and bring to life
      • Assist in coordination and implementation of events such as stadium events, press conferences, community events, media days, etc.
      • Monitor and report on team coverage in new and traditional local and national media
      • Providing support for the Communications team’s day-to-day tasks
      • Other duties and special projects as assigned
      • Commitment to participate in the entire term of the internship

      Qualifications:

      • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program studying Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or other related fields
      • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
      • Excellent research, editing and writing skills
      • Strong communication skills
      • Good judgment and decision-making skills along with discretion
      • Passion for working in the sports industry, positive attitude, strong work ethic, adaptability, and intellectual curiosity are required
