Job Description

- Implement operational communications to support business strategies for key stakeholders such as the Risk Department, Employee Well-being, Human Resources, and the General Manager. (Not just implement – compile, approve and distribute)
- Provide functional and administrative support for the execution of relevant projects and plans.
- Engage and implement key Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives at the Business Unit (BU) level.
- Develop content for various communication tools, including newsletters, flyers, posters, and video scripts. Oversee production, including photography, proofreading, and graphic design.
- Manage corporate identity (CI) by overseeing the application of Sappi CI on all assets and at events.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute key events such as, but not limited to, Long Service and Retirement Events, GM Review Meetings, and other departmental events like Global Safety Week and Women’s Day.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication tools, channels, and key messages for impact and effectiveness.
- Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual communication reports and participate in departmental planning and review meetings.
- Perform financial administration, including compiling project budgets, managing spend, and creating orders on SAP.
- Maintain effective working relationships with the GM's office, Heads of Departments, suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders.
- NQF6 degree in Public Relations or Communications or equivalent.
- At least five (5) years’ relevant experience.
- Code 08 driver’s license with three years of driving experience and own transport
