Job Purpose:
The Design and Brand Strategist is a creative, communications professional with strong graphic design skills, a passion for Bethany Children’s Health Center’s mission, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. This position is responsible for supporting our graphics and brand management team, and assisting the conception of various ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate both our internal and external audience. We see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals. The knowledge and use of a camera is a plus.

Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.

Support the Bethany Children’s Health Center Foundation and Community Development teams on a wide range of projects.
20%
Work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
5%
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Graphic Design/Advertising/Journalism or equivalent
Experience
3-5 years of Communications and/or Marketing experience
Key Skills
Graphic design: Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
Interpersonal: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with Communications and other departments. A self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show attention to detail.
Creative: The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a designs. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.

Bethany Children’s Health Center is an innovative leader in the field of pediatric rehabilitation and 24-hour complex care. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services for children (ages 0-21) and is the only inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility in Oklahoma. Our CARF accredited multidisciplinary team works with patients and their families to maximize the patient’s physical and cognitive potential, and ensure the family has the training and resources needed for a smooth transition from hospital to home. In 2021, the hospital received accreditation from The Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) , the nation’s original independent accreditation program recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This distinction confirms that Bethany Children’s Health Center is providing high quality patient care as determined by an external process of evaluation.
